Yes actually, for a few years I've been doing a couch co-op gaming session with a good friend a few times a month so regularly seek out these types of games. These are the ones we've had a blast with, the playstation store is running a sale on some of these now too. I think a non-gamer could get into many of these:

Broforce
Cult of the Lamb
Castle Crashers
It Takes Two
Overcooked
Door Kickers: Action Squad
Streets of Rogue
Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes

Likely hard to get on sale below 30-40 again today. Last time I saw Miles Morales Ultimate edition (for others awareness, it also contains code in box for OG Spiderman game) on sale for $20-30 price was 3-5 years ago at this point.

Buy Returnal if you skipped it; it went under the radar due to being released around covid and the rogue-lite niche genre. It's the most unique PS5 exclusive; I skipped it myself. I ended up playing it years later, and it's one of my favorite games of all time/my fav PS5 exclusive now. That game and Astro Bot are my top 2!

The best way to describe Returnal, is it's like Destiny and Doom had a baby
