Bought one of these a few months ago and returned. The super cheap, but vital plastic clips that hold the hose to the window adapter broke within 2 hours. The attachment is not even close to air tight and warm air will come into the room. So its sort of a heater in the summer as well as a cooler.
I called Midea support about the clip after a week of to and fro, was told it was a backorder part 120 days out.

Factory refurbished sell for $250 at walmart everyday. I bought one and it looks like new with all accessories. Install was easy. I didn't break any clip. Where the hose attach to the window slider is not seal just like @cbslc mention above. I use duct seal compound (Gardner bender) to seal the gap. It's not perfect but for 15 min AC installation without special tools isn't bad. It makes my Home theater cold and maintain the temp well. It louds at start but after 15min the temp drop then it become quiet. Thanks to inverter technology.

FYI - The fan blower went out after 2 months on mine. Seems to be a sizable issue.
