A lot of one star reviews say it died within 30 days, usually starts with lights or usbs. I'd definitely let it sit for 30 days before installing then be fucned out of a return, otherwise I'd get this for the usb ports and probably install it upside down to leave the plugs off the desk

My friends house caught on fire a couple of months ago from a battery that was charging that he purchased from Amazon. He lost his dog, and he still hasn't been able to repair everything. Glad you checked.

To be fair, that was a lithium ion battery, which is significantly more risky than something like this.

So much furniture comes with power and USB now, most of it is of unknown origin (I have a couch with USB and a desk with power and USB and I don't think either mention UL listings).

Not saying any of this is 100% safe, just saying that if power strips have an electrical issue they will trip a circuit breaker before causing a fire, whereas batteries are the thing that causes a fire irregardless of what they're plugged into.
