I remember liking his guerilla marketing book ages ago but when your schtick is "media manipulation" is was ironic that Holiday was constantly gaslit by the mainstream media leading to him holding very "establishment" takes (others suggest he was grifting to not lose pub deals, but that is actually worse).
And for all his talk of stoicism and maintaining self discipline, it was funny to see him crash out over Ivanka Trump liking "Mediations" by Marcus Aurelius, completely undercutting his entire proposed philosophy.
So yes, this is probably a decent book that is dry humped distillation of other stoic literature but don't go thinking this is hard fought knowledge from the author.
