Nice starter set of these tools. I was able to do a lot with the trim router before I got a full size router, and still use it for round overs, etc. I still use the sander as well.

there a lot of bad reviews on the orbital sanders... saying it stops spinnings... does yours do that?

This is tempting… I have both of these kind of tools, but neither are Ryobi. But I guess I also don't use them too much right now so spending money to replace them is silly… But green!

Mine still works well? I guess there could be variability / bad qc? I got mine in like 2021 in the combo that also included the jigsaw.

I bought this exact model sander on a deal with battery for $49 and used it to sand down my entire car. It took about 8 fully charged 4Ah batteries to complete the job. I then used it to build 2 medium sized cabinets which took about 7-8 more 4Ah battery changes. I always let it cool down for at least 10mins between battery swaps so I didn't risk overheating it. It got warm with each use but worked fine and still works great 8 months later. I didn't want to get the non-brushless router because reviews said the depth adjustment lever lock sometimes comes loose during use and can screw up the project so I got the brushless version instead (at full price) which reviews said Ryobi fixed so it doesn't have that problem and I really like it and think it was worth full price so if you can get the BRUSHLESS router on sale it is definitely worth it.

Exact reason why I wanted the brushless sander, if I'm going to use it, itll be for a lot of sanding. Not quite sure I'd use a router enough that I'd notice a difference brushless

I have this tool. It will stop in the middle of the cut and notch your project. I used mine 2-3 times. I'll sell it to somebody for $40. Message me. Perfect condition.

This is an absurdly good deal for anyone that does any cabinetmaking.

The trim router itself is well worth that price.

I recently went from corded to cordless and the difference in convenience is awesome. You do have to remember that it's a trim router and not a full size router.

You might have to take a job in multiple passes where you're used to doing just one. And if the lower power ever becomes a real problem, pull out the full size router to spin the bigger bits.
