If you want to bump up to the next size up, they are also on sale but for $129 from $179 normal. It has bigger drivers and a bit more amplifier power. In all honestly there's probably not going to be much of an audible difference between the 2 models but it's an option. FWIW The independent reviews I've checked out on YouTube seemingly most say it's a good sounding set of speakers,.. for what it is of course. Just don't expect any substantial low end response and you'll be fine. I imagine they'd sound really nice paired with a small to medium sized active subwoofer.

this has been the regular price for months, a deal is below 99,95. don't be fooled. OP has posted the $99 deal 13 times this year.

I can't speak to this particular model, but I bought the mr4 recently and it looks very similar to this, but has a slightly larger woofer and a little more power. Interestingly, the smaller model reports a lower frequency response, which is hard to believe. In any case, I think that the sound quality is pretty good if you have reasonable expectations for these. I use them for keyboard monitors. I like that it has a toggle between music and monitor mode to easily change the response a little bit. Presonus seems to be a popular brand at this price point, but I appreciated that these have a MDF cabinet rather than plastic. Who knows if it really matters at this low power level but in principle, I think the MDF should do a better job.

One thing I'll point out is if you use the left and right inputs on the back, there is no way to bridge them internally. But there is a stereo input on the front depending on what you're connecting.

I tried these and the MR4s and ended up keeping the MR3s, although honestly they sound the same to my ears. Price is about right though

Came here to say the same. This is the new "sale" price, at least since last BF.

Good speakers but I have an older model that stopped connecting via Bluetooth despite resets, attempting different devices, etc. Seems to be a common issue. Will not buy another.

I was scrolling quickly through the home page and thought this was a front loading washer and dryer set.

Yea, that account just sits on Amazon 24/7 and posts literally everything that shows a discount. Despite the fact it's often regular price. I think the clickthroughs must pay the site well.

The Edifier R1700BT is supposed to be much better than the 1280. I just received the Swan OS-10 and am very satisfied with them. Sounds great in my small office.

This OP has recently started making about 50 deals a day, every day. You can see if you visit their page. I think they make their living making money from Slick Deals. Probably not a bad living either. Slick Deals started going down hill when they started incentivizing people to make posts. I've made a little money myself posting the very few deals I've posted so I can only imagine how much money some people make doing it for their living. This members been here for 15 years and has made 90,000 deal posts. If you do the math, thats an average of over 15 deal posts per day, every day, for 15 years straight. At this exact moment in time, they've made 40 deal posts in just the last 6 hrs. I literally just counted.

I am on staff dealhunter team - this is literally my job to post deals. But as I said earlier I posted a lot way before I joined SD team. You can check how much I posted in 2024, before I joined.
I tend to concentrate more on how much my posts benefit the community. But I am glad that I can also make a living doing things I love and benefiting people around.

So you do make a good living making posts. That's what I wanted to know. I literally got threatened for thumbing down too many of your deals. I thumbed down a whole page once because there was like 50 posts in 1 hour. I couldn't make that many post that fast if I tried. You must really have a really fast posting system worked out. I didn't look to see if they were good deals or not but do we not get 1 vote to cast per deal? Are we allowed to cast a vote or not? Apparently now, we are only allowed to cast them if it's a good vote. This site seems fake now and the deals are not as good ever since they started paying people to post deals. Now the deals are just meh. Besides, you literally cast a good vote for all your own deals so I though I'd counter that, big deal. Our votes cancel each others out, but when I cast my single vote against, I got threatened to be banned an not ever be able to use the site again. What's the deal? Are we allowed to cast our single vote or not?
