I can use a square of this stuff to wipe down my bathroom sink counter, it's the Bounty of TP. 2-ply seems wildly unnecessary here and I'm not trying to challenge my pipes.
The only real criticism is that Cottonelle tends to be a little linty, but I can live with that. It's strong as hell, absorbent, and feels nice. Miles better than some other brands..... Looking at you Scott.
Most people giving this a hard time because it's only 1-ply have clearly never used the actual product and are making assumptions.
