Absolutely the worst game I have ever played. Avoid at all costs. Programmed by monkeys and vibe coders and the storyline is just interesting enough to keep you past the refund period on Steam. I saw this in advance and refunded my game within ten minutes. You don't have the ability to refund with a physical disk like that.

Thanks. Yeah, the game got some very bad reviews. I had read that the developers promised major changes but not sure how much will that help. On paper this was such a cool idea. Such a waste of potential.

There has been at least one major update that has helped this game but it will never be one of the Metroidvania greats

It hurts that such a giant publisher was behind it. They put all their money into marketing and nothing else. The controls have substantial input lag on any device. If I can go back 20 years and pick up a metroidvania that plays better, you're doing something horribly wrong. Save points are in extra stupid places just meant to pad out the length of the game, upgrades do close to nothing and require a substantial grind (I used an editor to get all the upgrades on the first boss and it still took a good five minutes to get through it without dying, as it isn't really difficult regardless). Oh and the game doesn't even support widescreen resolutions.

There are solo-developer indie titles that are much more fun than this.

A) It didn't fix the major problems and B) If you buy a game with the expectation that it will become playable in the future, you might as well just send me your money.

This game is trash and Namco Bandai deserves to feel the consequences of their actions. But they won't because 95% of this game's budget was marketing. They probably made back what they spent on people too lazy to refund the game.
