60 days of paid service
When did they change this? I recall buying an SE and then putting it away in my drawer for a few months and it was unlocked afterwards. I only paid 1 month of service during activation.

I've bought this for my kid. Although it's locked to Boost, you can put a secondary Boost line on it with no issues. I bought it for around $170 ($99+$60 plan+ tax) and moved an old Boost $25 plan over as a secondary line. Then I just let the $60 expire and continue to use the $25 plan on it. Honestly, I'd go with Boost if their plan aren't limited to just 30Gb of data. It's good for my teen because I don't want them to use too much data but for me it's not enough.
🛑 Bad Advice 🛑 Please read Boost Mobiles latest terms before you go recommending them to anyone. If someone followed your advice they would A. Not unlock even after 12 months of service and B. Be charged the full retail price $599 + 65 by Boost Mobile. The requiremen is now 3 months on highest plan to avoid being charged full price and 12 months at highest plan for them to grant network unlock.

Out of Stock at every store within 100 miles according to their website. Wonder if that's so you go to the store to look for it?

Judging by the comments, I guess I'm the only one who knows how to unlock it right when I get home. No reason to wait 60 days. Hmm strange.
Could you please share how to unlock it right away?

AFAIK there haven't been carrier specific iPhones in a very long time. Carrier locking is the only thing they do nowadays.
