Didn't go for a Fair condition one, but I'd legit been eyeing the open box prices for these for the past week or so, and this post made me check the Excellent condition tier again. Those went down from the usual price just as much as the Fair and Good are at right now, so I finally went for it.

how reliable is the open box one? is the return policy only have 14 days? how do we ck on the apple warranty? never bought an open box before. TIA

I picked up an "excellent" condition open box today for $59 (after $10 expiring reward) and it was brand new, seal half torn on box but everything inside wrapped as new.

Check for ear wax knowing BestBuy open box. But seriously. Check the SN of the device with the box and make sure it matches the BestBuy system info (license plate I believe they call it)

The last few items I bought open box never matched the descriptions or any of the stated info above.

I'd encourage everyone to open the item in store and verify.
