Just going to say I love this thing. I thought it was a little gimmicky at first, but when you have a project that needs a lot of adhesive or gooping in these cold months, it is a lifesaver for your hands. The bead is very smooth and easy to control too.

Bit of warning though. The second tube I put through it, I got too excited from the first tube and did not fully puncture the internal foil and had a blowout. Cleaning this thing out is a lot more involved then a non-electronic or cheapo gun you are not worried about.

I have multiple m18s that have seen daily use for years and work flawlessly. I've had my m12 rebuilt after around a year of daily use. If you're using this once or twice a week/month inside or with warm weather the m12 is great. Anything more and I'd recommend the m18. edit by daily use im saying my m18 is used 10-30 times a day on busy days.

This is good at this price point but depending on what kind of work you do and how often you use your gun the m18 is definitely worth the upgrade. I have multiple m18s that have seen daily use for years and work flawlessly. I've had my m12 rebuilt after around a year of daily use. If you're using this once or twice a week/month inside or with warm weather the m12 is great. I purchased this back in Nov for $159. I called their customer service to get a retro price change. They weren't able to price match the $20 difference since I am outside their 30day window but they offered me 10%, $16 back. Even though it was not the full amount, it saved me time and gas driving to the store

I called in today to have mine adjusted. Mine was on the 29th day! LOL! Thanks for the notice. Mine was more a matter of, I was not able to use military discount when I purchased a month ago. On this deal, I was able to use it. Either way, it was $20 to me. Gracias!

I'm also a Dewalt guy, but have batteries and chargers for Milwaukee. I can usually do with either brand. This does have the battery as you notice, but no charger.

Used this and the dewalt one at a previous job and they were great. I was able to get a consistent pencil width stream of adhesive easily.

Personally, even on sale like this if you aren't using one daily or a lot then it's still not a great price.

Really great tool.

Also cut a large hole in the nozzle. Trying to use a small hole fine bead will cause back pressure can get the silicone coming out the back
Had that with the Ryobi one

I bought this caulk gun to save my wrists this winter with stiff caulk doing home exteriors. It definitely struggles with cold tubes of caulk...like it sounds really sad trying to squeeze it out. I don't want to pre-judge it too hard, but it sounds like I'm going to wear it out pretty quick.

So, go with what this person above said and if you are using it in a daily professional setting, get the 18v.

Caulk guns are one of those tools where I've gone through so many and never found a perfect one.

Okay I'll comment this. As some who does windshields and abuses the hell out of my m18 day in and day out. The m18 is great. But I did have a m12 last around a year of daily use. During that time I was doing rental cars at an airport. I could do 20 cars a day each car takes roughly 600mls of adhesive so the gun was put through hell. Simple solution to having issues pushing adhesive in the cold, warm it. Most adhesive shouldn't be shot cold. If you're in construction and say you don't have heat use the windshield defrosters in your car. Also as far as the dewalt goes I've had one and it worked great until it didn't work at all. Also 70% of the auto glass industry who abuses caulking guns more than anyone uses Milwaukee from what I've seen.
