The saw is really nice, completely "nuts on" accurate without me having to adjust anything.
Really, the only flaw with the 8 1/4 type saws like this, is that you can't do Dado cuts with it.
For me, it isn't such a big deal, as I can do Dados with my router.
But it definitely is something to be aware of.

I too can live without dado as a guide and router works well.

Question is, why would you buy an 8-1/4" saw that is limited for everything but power. The 10" saws cut thicker materials, have same power, but with same rotation speeds, there are more teeth cutting per rotation and blades are typically cheaper with a wide variety available most anywhere..
In this case, DeWalt is just too expensive, whereas, a saw like the 10" Ridgid [homedepot.com] is just as cheap at regular price, does more and with the LSI, a lifetime service agreement. If on a budget, at $189 I would have to take a look at the Ryobi [homedepot.com] in person. Either and other models may very well come on sale at sites like Direct Tools [directtoolsoutlet.com] that we see on here often enough.

same price, but dewalt has better reviews and is 8 1/4 vs Ridgid 10. I doubt I will have to do any 4" rips, so 8 1/4 doesn't bother me.

Not sure about size of table to blade rules changing, but the 10" Ridgid with stand is a bit larger table. There are pros and cons to the Ridgid LSI, otherwise the Lifetime Service Agreement that is basically a lifetime warranty... but a lot of people are quite happy they have had it as the price of these tools continue to increase. Not so long ago, you could buy a portable 10" direct drive table saw with stand for less than $150, even $100 for off brands that got the job done for the homeowner/hobbyist.
We have one radial 8-1/4" saw that because of lack of availability locally, I typically buy blades from Amazon, but depending on material thickness, can also use a cheaper 5/8" arbor, 7-1/4" blade that can be found most anywhere on this table saw.... just maybe go a little slower with some varieties of wood, or buy a blade with more teeth than normally used with the 8-1/4" for similar results.
